What’s inside
- Porsche, Corvette C8, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Audi R8, Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Ford, Volkswagen, and more.
- Clear separation between frunk-only numbers, total cargo claims, and rear/other cargo.
- Source URLs and confidence notes so the data stays useful instead of becoming internet folklore.
- “No verified volume” rows where the car belongs in the story but no clean standardized capacity figure is source-backed.
For the editorial version of this data, read How Big Is Your Frunk?. The article explains why frunk-only capacity, rear cargo, total cargo, source labels, and caveats are kept separate.
Sample source-labeled rows
The numbers below are deliberately labeled by source type. Where a manufacturer publishes a clean frunk-only figure, the row uses that. Where a classic model belongs in the frunk lineage but no standardized volume is verified, the row says so instead of inventing a number.
| Model | Years | Public frunk figure | What actually fits | Source label | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Porsche 911 Carrera / Carrera S | 992 / 2020-current | 132 L / 4.7 cu ft | Small roller/cabin bag or soft weekend bags; best with soft luggage | official Porsche product overview / current model specs cross-check required before trim-specific quoting | Current Porsche model URLs moved/404 in automated check; use Porsche newsroom overview plus final browser check for the exact live spec page before publishing trim-specific table. |
| Porsche 718 Cayman | 982 / 2017-current | 150 L / 5.3 cu ft | Front: cabin roller/soft bag. Rear: duffels/grocery/soft luggage. | official Porsche model specs | Cayman rear cargo is larger than Boxster because fixed roof packaging leaves more rear space. |
| Porsche 718 Boxster | 982 / 2017-current | 150 L / 5.3 cu ft | Front: cabin roller/soft bag. Rear: soft duffels or small bags. | official Porsche model specs | Convertible top packaging reduces rear compartment vs Cayman. |
| Porsche 993 Carrera | 1994-1998 | No verified standardized volume | Air-cooled 911 generation-depth context; soft weekend bags in front luggage area. | official Porsche Classic 993 model archive | Dan specifically requested explicit 993 coverage; do not assign a capacity without a year-specific manual/brochure. |
| Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 | 2020-current | 113 L / 4.0 cu ft | Front: airline-style carry-on/laptop bag. Rear: golf bags/roof panel. | official Chevrolet specs + split verification needed | Chevrolet often publishes total cargo; keep front split clearly separate. |
